CORYELL COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) - A 28-year-old remains behind bars on charges of injury to a child, the Coryell County Sheriff's Office said in a social media post.

Hannah Clauton was arrested Oct. 6, deputies said."The safety and well-being of children in our community is a priority for our office. We can confirm the child involved in this case is safe," Sheriff Scott Williams said.

"Our Criminal Investigation Division takes allegations of child abuse seriously, and we remain committed to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community."In its statement, the sheriff's office said it will not release additional information on this case due to the sensitive nature and the need to protect the privacy of the child involved.
