MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - The Midland County Hospital District Police Department and Chief Steven McNeill are being honored for their help in developing a brand-new training course for law enforcement officers.

Chief McNeill collaborated with OSS Academy to help create the course, titled "Proactive Safety and Security Watch in High-Risk Environments." His contributions and expertise are expected to help hundreds of officers across the state safely and effectively carry out their duties through enhanced professional training."We are grateful to Chief McNeill and the department for recognizing an opportunity to strengthen training for law enforcement officers," said Abraham Bejil, Vice President of Facility Services.

"His commitment to professional development reflects the important role our officers play in creating a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff."Established in 2015, the Midland County Hospital District Police Department provides round-the-clock security and coverage for Midland Memorial Hospital, local clinics, medical office buildings, and the Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center.
