HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police said a body was discovered in a retention pond outside a hospital in southeast Houston on Tuesday morning.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers received a call at about 9:55 a.m. about a person found in the pond outside Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, located in the 11000 block of Astoria Boulevard.

HPD told ABC13 that the person was confirmed dead.
