Two Air Force pilots are safe after they ejected from the training jet they were flying near the Guadalupe and Wilson County line on Thursday evening, authorities said.

Assigned to the 12th Flying Training Wing, the pilots executed a "controlled bailout" of the T-6A Texan II at 5:51 p.m., according to Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph.
