CANTON, Texas (KLTV) - The Canton Eagles defeated the Mount Vernon Tigers 55-0 on Thursday night, improving to 4-0 on the season.

Mount Vernon entered the game 3-0.

Quarterback Cort Ray scored on the Eagles' first drive, keeping the ball himself and running into the end zone to put Canton up 7-0. On Canton's next drive, running back Landon Hamilton ran up the middle for a long touchdown.
