(KGNS) - Laredo's Flock license plate reader cameras will continue operating, city leaders said, despite Governor Greg Abbott pausing state funding for the cameras now under scrutiny across Texas.

According to the Texas Tribune, the governor's office says that, going forward, any state money cannot be used for the cameras.
