FORT HOOD, Texas (KWTX) - Residents across Central Texas may notice rattling windows and loud detonations over the next week as military aircraft carry out routine live-fire exercises.

According to military officials, B-52 Stratofortress bombers assigned to the 343rd Bomb Squadron out of Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, are conducting joint training operations over the installation's designated impact area.

Crews will release 500-pound munitions during two scheduled training windows:Thursday, Sept. 24: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29: 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Installation officials emphasized that the exercises are carefully coordinated to maintain safety, joint service readiness, and aircrew proficiency.
