Ross Fire in Texas grows to 80,000 acres as winds shift

The Ross Fire has grown to 80,000 acres across Palo Pinto and Jack counties west of Fort Worth as crews work to contain the rapidly spreading wildfire.

PALO PINTO, Texas - Crews are working around the clock to control a rapidly growing wildfire burning out of control in Palo Pinto and Jack counties, west of Fort Worth.

What we know: The Ross Fire broke out on Monday afternoon in Palo Pinto County, approximately 60 miles west of Fort Worth.

Since then, the blaze has moved north into Jack County.
