HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after a man was shot and injured following an apparent fight in northwest Harris Couunty, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said that deputies responded to the 9100 block of Rippling Fields Drive around 10 p.m. on Thursday and found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.

HCSO said deputies saw a witness performing life-saving measures on the victim before paramedics arrived and took the man to the hospital, where he underwent treatment.
