NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County commissioners held one of their first budget workshops aimed at creating the fiscal 2027 budget.
Nacogdoches County Judge Chris Bentley said upgrading the county's information technology (IT) infrastructure is a priority following a cyberattack earlier this year."We're gathering information with regards to what our IT infrastructure needs to look like going forward for the citizens of this county. And then we're going to have a very deliberate debate on our people in this county and that includes everything from cost-of-living adjustments to salary adjustments and where we believe we need to make those decisions," Bentley said.
He said the court is in the process of interviewing software companies to find the right fit and services.
