(KGNS) - Webb County Catholics are joining others worldwide in prayer for Pope Leo following his lung cancer diagnosis and surgery.

More than 150,000 Catholics live in Webb County.

Maria Salinas, who lives in Laredo, said she hopes the pope recovers."We hope that he can recover, we hope that he can keep praying for us and we pray for him too," Salinas said.
