SHELBY COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - A search for a missing Texas man, Joseph Pate, ended after law enforcement says he was discovered deceased with his dog still guarding his side.

Pate was originally reported missing Friday morning from his home in Joaquin, Texas.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office reports the search area for Mr. Pate was expanded later that night.
