HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police said an investigation is underway after Hobby Airport received a "general threat" on Saturday evening, with passengers reportedly stuck on the tarmac due to a "security issue." According to the Houston Police Department, officers have not found any issues after the airport received the "general threat," adding that they are currently implementing security protocols.
Passengers on a Southwest flight called ABC13 and said they are on board a plane parked on the airport's tarmac due to a "security issue." According to FlightAware, Hobby Airport is experiencing departure delays of about 50 minutes, with that time increasing.
ABC13 crews are en route to Hobby Airport to gather more information.
