ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Hundreds of Medical Center Hospital employees received a sweet surprise on Thursday during the celebration of Miracle Treat Day, a long-standing partnership between Dairy Queen and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

The annual event raises critical funds for pediatric care at Medical Center Health System, which stands as the only Children's Miracle Network hospital in the Permian Basin.

For every Dairy Queen Blizzard purchased on Miracle Treat Day, one dollar goes directly to the hospital to support pediatric and NICU units."We brought 750 Blizzards for all staff," said Trevor Tankersley, Director of Public Relations for Medical Center Health.
