TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - Thursday morning, students and staff with Temple ISD returned to school for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Voters approved a Tax Ratification Election last November, and those safety measures are now going into effect.

The funding has provided new security cameras, cyber security upgrades, and new perimeter fencing across campuses.
