At approximately 9:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, the New Braunfels Police Department and New Braunfels Fire Department responded to a report of a traffic accident between a vehicle and pedestrian in the 700 block of East Common Street.

According to NBPD, officers arrived to find that a white Ford dually pulling a horse trailer was leaving the Comal County Fairgrounds when it took the turn onto Common Street, clipping a deputy constable that was working traffic control in the area.

The deputy constable was transported to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels with non-life threatening injuries.
