The 100 Club of Gillespie County has received a $25,000 grant from the Adam R. Scripps Foundation to fund safety improvements for local law enforcement officers and county courtrooms.
The grant is earmarked for two projects: bullet-resistant conversion kits for Fredericksburg Police Department patrol vehicles and walk-through security gates for the county and district courtrooms.
"The Adam R. Scripps grant is very much appreciated. It enables us to fund projects that improve the safety of patrol officers and courtrooms in our County," 100 Club President Graham Pearson said.
