LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock County Courthouse Friday marked the retirement of Judge Trey McClendon, who presided over the 137th District Court for nearly 16 years.

Over a 30-year legal career, McClendon also worked for the Seventh Court of Appeals in Amarillo, the State Bar of Texas, served as a Lubbock County prosecutor and worked in private practice with his father and brother.

McClendon also presided over the Lubbock County DWI Recovery Court, where he worked with defendants through rehabilitation."Serving the people of Lubbock County has been the honor of a lifetime," McClendon said in a news release earlier this week.
