(KGNS) - The city of Laredo is preparing for Pretty Strong in Pink, a 5K run and one-mile walk for women.

The event is the city's first all-women's race and will feature men on the sidelines acting as cheerleaders.

Victor Trevino and Ivana Chemas, founder of Pretty Pace Collective, an all-girls running club in Laredo, provided details about the event.
