Peterson Health has earned Primary Stroke Center certification from DNV, a designation recognizing the Kerrville-based health system's ability to provide comprehensive stroke care.

The certification affirms Peterson Health's readiness to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate and educate patients experiencing stroke while meeting nationally recognized standards established by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association.

"This certification lets our community know we have the resources and commitment to provide the best possible stroke care," Darin Smith, Peterson Health's director of clinical programs, said.
