Commissioner Precinct 1 Tommy Park said the county entered the budget process expecting a significant deficit but was able to reach a balanced budget after identifying overlooked revenue and trimming line items throughout.
Overlooked funds, across-the-board cutsPark said one key discovery was $160,000 in U.S. Forest Service money that had not been included in the budget.
