Both Boerne and Boerne-Champion high schools have made U.S. News and World Report's Best High School Rankings list for 2026-27. U.S. News assesses over 27,000 public schools each year and ranks nearly 18,000, according to the media outlet.

Criteria include college readiness, the breadth of college curriculum offered, state assessment proficiency, performance on state assessments, underserved student populations and graduation rates.

Boerne High School came in at 210 in Texas and 1,664 nationally, while Boerne-Champion High School was listed at 157 in Texas and 1,211 in the country.
