COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) - On Monday the Copperas Cove Police Department launched a community scavenger hunt honoring Officer Elijah Garretson, who was fatally shot in the line of duty nearly nine months ago.

Lieutenant Rick Counter says every year the department hosts a National Night Out event, and every year they come up with a theme.

However, this year's theme is especially meaningful.
