South Plains College's Creative Arts Department has opened registration for two classes that will give local, aspiring musicians ages 12 to 17 a chance to hone their skills this fall.

In the Fall 2026 Youth Live Ensemble, musicians of any instrument and skill level will study with SPC Creative Arts faculty members and use professional equipment.

The class will cover how to play in a band and deepen students' understanding of bass, drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
