Lubbock VFW to remember 13 who died during withdrawal from Afghanistan

The Lubbock VFW is hosting a remembrance service to honor 13 American service members who died during the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock veteran community is inviting people to attend a remembrance service this week for American service members killed in the Middle East five years ago.

The service will honor the 13 military members who died during the American withdrawal from Afghanistan.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing at Abbey Gate at Hamid Karzai International Airport.
