Ross Fire: Flames reach 100 feet as crews battle 4,000-acre wildfire

Multiple fire departments from the Big Country are battling the Ross Fire, a massive wildfire that has burned an estimated 4,000 acres in Palo Pinto County with flames reaching 100 feet.

PALO PINTO COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Multiple fire departments, including several from the Big Country, are battling a massive wildfire in Palo Pinto County.

The Ross Fire has burned an estimated 4,000 acres and was 5% contained as of 8:00 p.m. Monday.

The fire is burning west of Palo Pinto near Highway 180.
