TxDOT completed a new diverging diamond interchange at Loop 1604 and Blanco Road on San Antonio's North Side, changing traffic patterns at one of the area's busiest intersections.

A new interchange at Loop 1604 and Blanco Road on San Antonio's North Side is changing the way drivers move through one of the area's busiest intersections.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) completed the diverging diamond interchange on Saturday, Aug. 22.

The diverging diamond interchange (DDI) is a design that temporarily shifts drivers to the opposite side of the roadway before returning them to the correct side.
