NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Commissioners Court has been prioritizing fixes to the county's IT infrastructure since a cyberattack on the county's website in May.

Aaron Smith, the county's IT director, shared how the county plans to address the issues, starting with an agreement with NAC Space."We want to show our citizens that, you know, we are modernizing, that we are keeping up with the times," Smith said.

County Judge Chris Bentley thanked Smith's team for its work since the cyberattack."I would just like to say thank you to your team for the work that has been going on for 90-plus days now. The best thing about what happened was over 99% of the public didn't know what happened," Bentley said.
