AUSTIN, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspect is in custody after allegedly planning an attack on the Texas State Capitol in Austin, according to a notice sent to state senators and reviewed by ABC News.

"Last night, DPS received information of a credible threat involving an individual, who along with suspected co-conspirators, was planning an attack on the Capitol," Patsy Spaw, the Secretary of the Texas State Senate, wrote in a notice.

According to the notice, the attack was going to take place on Oct. 1.
