TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on three new floors for the hospital's south tower.
New patient care floorsThe three new floors will include the addition of 28 universal care spaces, according to Dr. Tresa McNeal, interim chief medical officer for the Baylor Scott & White Central Texas Region."Those 3 floors are going to include the addition of 28 universal care spaces, which will allow us to care for patients in their time of need, up to and even including ICU level of care," McNeal said.
Two new helipads will also be added to the building for emergency care.
