BIG BEND NAT'L PARK, Texas (KOSA) - Customs and Border Protection announced a temporary pause Monday on the border construction project inside Big Bend National Park, following bipartisan opposition to the project.
According to AP News, the project through the national park in southern Texas has faced bipartisan opposition from critics who say it is marring the area's environment.
Critics argue the region's rugged and remote terrain already serves as a deterrent to migrants and smugglers.
