A man died after being shot by an unknown person in the 500 block of Gulf Bank Road overnight, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies provided emergency medical care at the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead.

Investigators with the Homicide Division and Crime Scene Investigation Unit are responding as the search for the shooter continues.
