HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A driver crashed into a Houston Police Department vehicle on the Southwest Freeway on Saturday morning, officers said.

According to authorities, HPD officers were responding to a crash on the freeway near 610 West Loop when a driver crashed into the scene and hit an HPD vehicle at about 5 a.m. Police said the officer was not inside the vehicle when the crash happened and was not injured.
