An off-duty San Antonio police officer shot a man after the suspect allegedly drove aggressively before chasing the officer on the North Side, according to the police department.

Officers were dispatched around 5 p.m. Saturday at Northeast Loop 410 and Airport Boulevard after the off-duty officer called to report the shooting and waited at the scene.

The man allegedly drove aggressively and chased the officer in his vehicle before cutting across multiple lanes of traffic and striking another vehicle, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
