Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) crews are preparing for heavy rain expected to affect the San Antonio area from Wednesday evening through Friday.

Crews have been inspecting drainage systems and equipment, clearing debris from culverts and inlets and checking flood-prone areas, including construction sites.

TxDOT has also placed barricades and signs in some areas ahead of the storms.
