Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District's Board of Trustees will meet Aug. 24 to vote on a proposed $44 million budget and adopt a 2026-2027 tax rate.

The budget, presented to the trustees at their Aug. 20 meeting, projects $44,308, 977 in revenue and $43,669,913 in expenses.

Last year's budget came in at $48 million, and most of the decrease is attributed to lower maintenance and operations allocations.
