LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Breakthrough T1D will hold its second annual Lubbock Community Walk Saturday, Oct. 10, at Urbanovsky Park on the campus of Texas Tech University.

The family-friendly event brings together people living with Type 1 diabetes, their families, friends and community supporters to raise funds and awareness, according to organizers.

A walk kick-off event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at First United Methodist Church, 1411 Broadway Street, in the administration wing on the east side near the Broadway entrance.
