Silicon Valley company to build $200 million plant in San Antonio that will employ 3,000 people

Silicon Valley company Industrial Electric Manufacturing will build a $200 million manufacturing plant in San Antonio that is expected to create 3,000 jobs.

The 1 million-square-foot plant is being built at Brooks in Southeast San Antonio.

Credit: Instagram / livebrooks A Silicon Valley company that builds power distribution and control systems will develop a $200 million manufacturing plant at the Brooks development that's expected to create 3,000 jobs.

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) will use the 1 million-square-foot plant to crank out engineered power equipment for data centers, the healthcare industry, energy companies and advanced manufacturing, according to details revealed Tuesday by Bexar County officials.
