TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Our friend Robbie Shoults, CEO of his family business, Bear Creek Smokehouse in Marshall, showed us his recipe for cucumber and tomato salad with a homemade dressing that we all fell in love with when we tried it.

Rustic cucumber and tomato saladSalad:1 English cucumber, quartered and chopped1/2 a red onion, cut into long, thin slivers1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved, or a large tomato, choppedItalian seasoningsalt and pepper, to tasteDressing:1/2 cup olive oil1/4 cup red wine vinegar1 teaspoon Dijon mustard1 teaspoon honey2 cloves garlic, finely mincedred pepper flakes, about 1/2 teaspoon or to tastesalt and pepper, to tasteWhisk the dressing together well, until everything dissolves fully.

Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients in a salad bowl.
