TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Two men who are alleged to be involved in a gift card tampering ring that spanned Texas and Arkansas were arrested in Tyler, according to a release from the Texas Financial Crimes Intelligence Center.

The release said on Aug. 24, Xiaoqiang Yu and Minlin Chen were arrested after Tyler Police Department officers saw one of the men placing tampered gift cards in Tyler stores.

According to the release, police also searched a vehicle and nearby hotel where they found the other man, hundreds of tampered cards, and tampering tools.
