COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) - Williams/Ledger Elementary School in Copperas Cove reopened Monday with a ribbon cutting, one year after back-to-back storms caused extensive damage to the campus and forced students and staff to relocate to other schools.
The storms caused widespread damage to the building primarily through roof leaks, which led to destruction of floors, drywall, insulation and more throughout the campus.
The entire roof has since been replaced.
