U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement field agents, known as ICE, began working in Sabinal the week of Aug. 10, at times responding after local police make traffic stops.

Sabinal Police Chief Jesus "Chuy" Reyes said the agents had made no arrests in the city as of Aug. 13.
