BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Friends of Chamber Music is opening its 31st season Friday, Oct. 9, featuring a performance by the Grammy-nominated ensemble American Patchwork Quartet.

The concert will take place in the Christian Life Center at A&M United Methodist Church.

The ensemble is known for reimagining traditional American folk songs by weaving in a diverse mix of cultural influences, including Hindustani vocals, West African rhythms, and jazz elements."This is a really interesting group, and what they're going to be doing is singing traditional American folk music, but with a kind of an east-west twist," said Andy Kronenber with Friends of Chamber Music.
