HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - The Henderson County District Attorney's Office announced Monday that a man who had appealed his murder conviction has been denied.

The Twelfth Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction and life sentence of Chaz Taelor White, who was convicted by a Henderson County jury last October in the 2023 murder of Alexis Garoutte.

White appealed his conviction, arguing that the evidence was insufficient to prove he had the intent required for a murder conviction.
