An analysis of crime data in Houston's Third Ward shows that crime numbers have remained largely unchanged despite the Houston Police Department's promise to increase patrols in 2024.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Has the Third Ward become safer after the Houston Police Department promised to increase patrols in 2024?

Eyewitness News' look at crime data suggests that may not be the case.

"It's about priorities," Sharon Evans-Brooks with the Riverside Civic Association said.
