FORT STOCKTON, Texas (KOSA) - A Texas DPS trooper is being credited with saving the life of a crash victim after applying a tourniquet to control life-threatening bleeding following a rollover crash in Pecos County.

According to DPS, on June 24, emergency crews were called to a rollover crash on I-10 westbound near mile marker 230.

While en route, Pecos County EMS received reports that the driver had suffered a traumatic amputation of the left arm above the elbow and was experiencing severe blood loss.
