Former Gillespie County teacher gets 15 years for recording girls in bathroom, school dressing rooms

A former Harper ISD teacher was sentenced to 15 years in prison for recording young girls in bathrooms and dressing rooms, with investigators uncovering 10 victims and over 50 images and videos of child sexual abuse material.

GILLESPIE COUNTY, Texas - A former Harper ISD teacher was sentenced to over a decade in prison for multiple felony offenses relating to recording young girls in bathrooms and dressing rooms.

By the numbers: Pedro DeLuna III was sentenced on Sept. 3 to 15 years for: The investigation uncovered a total of 10 victims and more than 50 photographs and videos depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM), says the Gillespie County Sheriff's Office.

The backstory: DeLuna was arrested on Dec. 1 for invasive video recording.
