Comal County Administrator Tom Hornseth has announced his retirement, effective at the end of August, after 33 years of service, according to a press release.

Hornseth first came to the county as county engineer in 1992, and over the following three decades, "played a role in nearly every major infrastructure project that has shaped Comal County's growth," the release stated.

In 2024, Hornseth was appointed county administrator, thanks to his deep understanding of the county's needs.
