LEVELLAND, Texas (KCBD) - South Plains College's director of percussion in commercial music, Phillip Smith, has been elected to the prestigious Percussive Arts Society (PAS) Drum Set Committee.

The global committee of percussion experts addresses drum set education and performance standards worldwide.

It also recommends clinics and masterclasses for the annual PAS International Convention (PASIC).
