On Saturday, Sept. 5, at about 9:28 p.m., officers with the Kerrville Police Department responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in the 1200 block of Junction Highway.

The crash claimed the life of 46-year-old Jeanne Avalos, a Kerr County resident.

The initial investigation revealed that Avalos was crossing Junction Highway when she was struck by a vehicle traveling east.
